Concorde Capital on Mont Blanc:
Jul 27 - Aug 1, 2006
Scaling Western Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc, wasn’t just ambitious, but crazy. Initially, none of our guides believed any of us would manage to climb the mountain however, in spite of sickness, acclimatization, and oncoming storms, we accomplished what we intended, even if only partially.
Unfortunately, bad weather limited us to only one of the peaks of Mont Blanc massif, Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248 m). When we reached the top, a mere 550 m separated us from the highest summit in Western Europe. May be this year we didn’t reach our desired destination, but next year we plan to return to Chamonix and will indeed reach our goal. This trip put our strength, abilities, and potential to the test. In the end we proved that we can accomplish a lot more professionally that just buying and selling stocks. The expedition to Mont Blanc du Tacul confirmed that at critical moments we are able to make the impossible – possible. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Mont Blanc mountain range is situated between three countries: France, Italy and Switzerland. The French mountainsides (Haute-Savoie) are covered with glaciers and have numerous and varying mountain tops. The entire mountain range stretches approximately 30 kilometers in length and 12-15 kilometers in width. The most famous of the range’s numerous peaks are: le Mont Blanc(4810.40m) first climbed in 1786 , les Grandes Jorasses (4208m) which boasts an especially difficult north wall, l`Aiguille Verte (4121m), known as the kingdom of ice and les Drus (3754m) a paradise for rock-climbers. Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248m) is the forth highest peak in the range.
