Concorde Capital held its fourth annual investment conference on April 24-25 at the Hyatt Regency in Kyiv, Ukraine. The theme, Bullying the Bears, reflects Concorde Capital's strategic outlook of the outperformance of Ukrainian investments in 2008 despite the global bear market.
Concorde Capital held a live conference call with representatives from over 40 western funds and some of Ukraine’s largest listed developers including TMM CEO Nikolay Tomalchov, and TKS CEO Ivan Torsky.
In a live conference call with representatives from over 40 western funds, National Bank Supervisory Board Chairman Petro Poroshenko, Rodovid CEO Denis Gorbunenko and Megabank Deputy Chairman of the Board Vyachaslav Ruytin spoke about current trends in the banking sector, inflation, exchange rate policy and the risks faced by Ukrainian banks.
In a live conference call with representatives from over 60 western funds, former Finance Minister and one of the leaders of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc Viktor Pynzenyk, spoke at length on topics including privatization, the future of the Ukrainian currency, land and property rights and future initiatives the government plans to implement in or boost investment.
TKS-Management, Western Ukraine’s largest real estate development company, has successfully placed a 22% equity stake for USD 39.6 mln among leading foreign institutional investors. The placement brings the company’s MCap to USD 180 mln. Concorde Capital acted as placement agent and sole financial advisor for the deal.
Ukraine’s leading real estate development company, TMM placed a 13.11% stake among foreign institutional investors for roughly USD 105 mln, giving the company an MCap of USD 800 mln - the largest capitalization of any Ukrainian company that has been floated to date.
Dakor Places 20% Equity Stake - Press Conference
One of Ukraine’s largest sugar producers, Dakor, has successfully placed a 20% equity stake among foreign investors for USD 21 mln, giving it an MCap of USD 100 mln. Almost half of the placed shares were sold in the form of depositary receipts issued by the Bank of New York. Click here to watch the press conference.
